UMSL Student Wins First Place in InfantSEE Contest
Each year, students at the College of Optometry have the opportunity to apply for many outside scholarships and grants. Often the application process requires a lot of time and creativity.
Peter Jacques (’19) entered the 2018 Vision West, Inc. Scholarship for InfantSEE and was selected as the national winner. He was awarded a $7,500 scholarship for his submission. Jacques wrote a 1,000 word paper that addressed several topics regarding InfantSEE and created a short video which can be found here http://bit.ly/2ErF1Du.
The Scleral Lens Education Society awarded two awards for excellence in scleral lens posters at the 2018 Global Specialty Lens Symposium. One of the recipients was Taylor Dahms (’18), who is also the AOSA National Liaison to the Contact Lens and Cornea Section of the AOA.
