Dr. Ellen Weiss (‘92) was honored as the “2018 OD of the Year” at the 57th Annual Heart of America Eye Care Congress, held February 9 – 11, 2018, in Kansas City. Dr. Weiss is a partner in Millard Family Eyecare in Omaha, Nebraska, and has a special interest in pediatric optometry. She is the immediate past-president of VOSH International, past-president of the Heart of America Contact Lens Society, and past-president of the Nebraska Optometric Association. Presenting her with this honor was UMSL graduate and president-elect of the Heart of America Eye Care Congress, Dr. Wes DeRosier (‘96)
