Make plans to attend our Continuing Education events at the J.C. Penney Conference Center on UMSL’s North Campus. The popular Nutrition and the Eye Symposium returns for its 11th meeting on April 7th and 8th, 2018. Dr. Stuart Richer is the program facilitator. He has lined up wonderful speakers, including keynote speaker Dr. Russell Jaffe. Dr. Jaffe will be discussing Nutrition and the Macula on April 7th, and according to Dr. Richer, “he is a phenomenal speaker.” Rounding out the program are Dr. Julie Poteet, Dr. William Harris, and Dr. Jeff Anshel. Breakfast and lunch are included in the registration cost, and there will be 12 hours of CEE available. Registration closes on April 3rd:

Coding Update 2018

Join us on Sunday, May 6th, 2018 for the Coding Update with Dr. John McGreal. The course will run from 9am-1pm, providing 4 hours of CE. Dr. McGreal will present a basic coding class, as well as a 1-hour class on new and revised ICD-10 codes. The 2 remaining hours will be on navigating payment reform in MACRA/MIPS. Dr. McGreal will outline all the 2018 changes to the quality program, advancing care information, clinical practice improvement activities and resource use, including exclusion criteria. Save the Date: Sunday, August 19th, 2018 will be the Annual August Academe. This year’s presenters will be Dr. Marc Bloomenstein, and UMSL’s own faculty members Dr. Casey Hamm and Dr. Thomas Landgraf. They will provide 8 hours of CEE. Stay tuned for more information!
