Genstler Eye Center
Thriving MD/OD practice in the heart of Oregon
MD/OD PRACTICE SEEKING ASSOCIATE OPTOMETRIST
Does the prospect of a diverse patient population and medical co-management sound exciting? Do you take pride in having a meaningful impact on your community? If you answered YES to any of the above, we want to hear from you!
Genstler Eye Center is a busy MD/OD practice with a mix of cataract care, general and complex medical ophthalmology, and vision care. With an in-house ambulatory surgery center, full-service medical and vision clinic, and a large, retail optical store we are widely known as the premier eye care provider in our area and have had the privilege of serving our community in this capacity for over thirty years. Our board-certified ophthalmologist is also fellowship trained in cornea & external eye disease. Our practice provides superior medical, vision, and surgical eye care delivered in a spirit of compassion and respect. Our core values of respect for each other and our patients, service to those we come in contact with, and excellence in all we do is reflected in our patient outcomes.
Our practice is centrally located in the vibrant and growing town of Albany, in the heart of Oregon’s beautiful Willamette Valley. We are 1 hour to the Pacific Ocean, 1 hour to the Cascade Mountain Range, 1½ hours to Columbia River Gorge activities, 1½ hours to snow skiing, 1 hour to Portland city life, etc. Albany and its surrounds offer a broad range of recreational opportunities such as natural wildlife refuges, hiking, cycling, mountain biking, hunting, fishing, and bird watching. Education opportunities include Oregon State University which is just a short, 20-minute drive away. Our community has a strong focus on industry, health-care, agriculture, and technology and we are one of the highest patent-producing regions in the nation. Our practice is conveniently located about 3 minutes off Interstate-5 for quick and easy North/South access.
As a member of the Genstler Eye Center team, you will work independently providing primary optometric care, such as routine vision exams, glasses, soft contact lenses and specialty lens fittings. You will also work closely with our board-certified ophthalmologist in the co-management of pre & post cataract patients as well as a full spectrum of other medical ophthalmology scenarios. And most importantly, you will play an active role in furthering our mission of improving the lives of those we serve.
We believe technology facilitates our doctors practicing the highest level of patient care which, in turn, brings the greatest personal and professional satisfaction. Our supporting technology includes NextGen EHR, fundus photography, VF, NdYAG/Argon Laser, OCT and more. But technology could never replace our great team of techs and support staff who enable our doctors to focus on the patient experience and on providing superior care to each of our patients.
