Website Pontiac Family Eye Care, LLC

Love full scope, independent optometry?  We do!  Our three doctor, two location group practice in central Illinois is the premier eye care provider for one of the largest counties in the state.  With the closest ophthalmology practice over 30 miles away, our technology driven practice has been the primary eye care provider for our communities for over 100 years.  We have created an opportunity for a full-time optometrist to join our multi-specialty practice.

We recently remodeled and expanded our Pontiac location creating a beautiful, rustic reception area and optical boutique.  Office technology includes the Marco OPD 3 wavefront autorefractor, Spectralis OCT, Optos California, Oculus Keratograph, Optovue OCT, AdaptDx, Lipiflow, and Lumenis IPL.  All exam lanes (6 in Pontiac and 2 in Fairbury) have Marco TRS automated phoropters.  We provide comprehensive dry eye management, myopia control, specialty contact lenses, and regional low vision services.  Our patients are young children to elderly adults – many of whom have become our friends.  Examinations often include conversations about our families and other interests.  Less than half of our patients have vision plans, increasing the profitability for both associate and owners.

Aside from providing primary ocular health care and sub-specialty services, the best candidate will have a strong interest in practice management as this associate position leads to a rewarding partnership.  It’s also important for the candidate to be personable, confident, constantly learning and possess a good sense of humor.  We can promise that your compensation will be reflected in the hard work you put in each day educating patients and building relationships.

We honestly appreciate the pace of life and the outdoor recreation in our county.  Fugate Woods and Humiston Woods Nature Preserves as well as Indian Creek and the Vermillion River provide hiking and paddling experiences.  We have miles of open country roads for the cyclist. Pontiac’s historic downtown attracts Route 66 tourists with museums, local shops, and many yearly festivals.  Fairbury is known for its Speedway and local farm stores. For the artist, our local Vermillion Players theater troupe and the community band concerts are sure to satisfy.  With the near proximity of Bloomington/Normal and the ability to be in the Chicago suburbs in just over an hour we are truly in the heart of it all.
